Day 2 in Rome: "Ancient Day"

We've got lots of pictures for you all again!

Me standing in front of the Forum of Nerva. The Mercati Traianei.

The Forum of Trajan, including the Column of Trajan. Me standing by the Column. This column is amazing! There is so much intricate detail.

The Il Vittoriano. So stunning!

The statuary on the monument was unbelievable.

The Forum of Augustus and the Forum of Caesar. The Forums with the Palatine Hill in the background.

The Colosseum!!! Absolutely breathtaking! The first picture is from the outside looking up. The next picture is a shot from the inside.

The chambers at the bottom of the Colosseum.

Another stunning view and then we had to stop for a quick rest in the shade! Boy is it hot here!

The Arch of Constantine and view of the Arch and the Colosseum. It's crazy that there is so many wonderful things so close together!

Palatine Hill.

An ancient Roman house (domus) on Palatine Hill. The view from the hill.

We even saw archaeologists conducting some surveys. A beautiful garden surrounded by orange and pear trees.

The Roman Forum from above. Me standing in the Roman Forum.

I absolutely loved all of these sites, but, then again, I have loved everything so far!
