Pictures from Florence

Hello everyone :)

Here are some of our pictures from Florence. Hope you enjoy!

The Piazza del Duomo. The Baptistery is in the front with the Duomo in the background. We went inside the Duomo, but we weren't allowed to take any pictures. :(

The doors of the Baptistery. These doors are located directly across from the Duomo and are covered in scenes from the Old Testament and have been nicknamed the "Gates of Paradise." Unfortunately, we couldn't get closer for a better picture without the crowds. The Piazza was incredibly crowded.

Dan standing in the Bobolo Gardens with the city in the background. You can see the Duomo and the Bell Tower.

Dan bought me a really delicious dessert!

The outside of the Uffizi Gallery. We couldn't take pictures inside so this is the only proof we have that we were there. The Gallery was filled with so many incredible works of art, including Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" and Da Vinci's "Adoration of the Magi."

One of our yummy hotel picnics. We have really learned our way around Italian grocery stores.
