Spanish Steps

Hello Again,

After taking in all of the ancient sites, Dan and I headed back to the room for showers and naps. Once we pulled ourselves out of bed, we went to a nearby grocery store to get stuff for dinner. We picked out some cheese, bread, salami, and fruit and headed back to the hotel to enjoy our picnic. We had a bit of language difficulties back at the hotel when we tried to get a plate and knife from the front desk or room service. (They never came, but they did bring us Kleenex.)

Once we had satisfied our hunger, we headed to the Spanish Steps, which were such a great time. Dan and I took some pictures, bought beers, and sat on the steps to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We met this really nice couple and ended up talking with them for awhile before we all headed our separate ways; they went back to their hotel and we decided to head to the Trevi Fountain again to see it at night. After such a long day, Dan and I were looking forward to some relaxed reading and bed. Plus, we needed a good night sleep to get ready for the incredibly busy day we had planned for today. (More on that later.)

  1. There you can see our hotel behind Dan's left shoulder by the church at the top the steps.

  2. The pictures are, well ... spettacolare!

But how did you manage to slice salami with Kleenex?

    Hugs,
